You need the heat to sink deep into the fibers, but you can&amp;rsquo;t just blast it or you&amp;rsquo;ll scorch the surface.&#xA;We dial in the wattage and voltage drops carefully so the heat is steady from one end of the tube to the other. But here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: when you&amp;rsquo;re pushing that much power, it gets&lt;strong&gt;hot&lt;/strong&gt;. Like, really hot. If your machine&amp;rsquo;s cooling system isn&amp;rsquo;t up to the task, your filaments are going to burn out way too fast. It&amp;rsquo;s a simple rule—keep it cool, or the lamp dies.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
