Power and Physical Specs: What It Packs
At the heart of the module is a 400V, 2500W halogen tube, usually 300mm long. That power isn’t random. It’s chosen to hit the right thermal profile across the preform—neck and body—so the PET material gets to the perfect stretch temperature fast. The 400V input is a deliberate call, too. If your machine already runs on 400V, you don’t have to rewire the whole control panel just to make it work. And the 300mm length? It’s a standard footprint, meant to drop straight into the brackets and reflector setup you already have. The wattage is there to keep cycle times tight, even when you push the throughput.
Material and Design: The Small Stuff That Saves You
We use a shortwave infrared halogen element inside a quartz tube for a reason. Quartz can handle the shock of rapid on/off cycling—the kind that’s just normal life in blow molding. The halogen gas fill lets the filament run hotter and cleaner, which means quicker heat-up and steady output over the life of the tube. The reflective coating focuses the energy where it needs to go, so less heat is wasted and downstream parts stay protected. And the R7s connector? It’s a small detail that matters a lot. It’s a tough, industry-standard fit that handles high current without arcing. Wiring becomes simple—quick disconnect, swap it in, and get back to work. Downtime stays low.
What It Feels Like on the Floor
Upgrading an old machine with this module isn’t just about more heat. It’s about more control. The focused infrared energy heats the preform more evenly, which cuts down on scrap from uneven heating. You can run faster cycle speeds without worrying about scorching the material. And because it’s a true drop-in replacement, you skip the cost and long lead time of a full machine overhaul.
