The Details That Actually Matter
The specs aren’t random. It runs at 400V, pulling the power needed to hit that high energy density—so the preform heats fast and even. That voltage choice keeps current lower on the line, which cuts voltage drop over distance and keeps the electrical load reasonable. And the 300mm length? That’s the sweet spot for the Aoki blower zone. It matches the heating envelope exactly. At 2500W, the lamp delivers the heat flux that high-speed cycles demand. It’s tuned to heat quickly, which means the blower’s cooling and airflow have to be up to the job. If cooling is undersized, ambient temps creep up and the lamp’s life takes a hit.
What’s Inside, and Why It Works
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave halogen element inside a quartz tube. It responds fast and holds steady output—no lag, no fuss. The quartz coating does the smart work: it filters out the wavelengths you don’t want and focuses energy where it matters—deep into the PET. That targeted spectrum helps prevent surface scorching while keeping melt strength where you need it. For the connections, we use an R7s end-cap style. It gives solid, high-temp contacts that can handle thermal cycling without arcing or loosening. The Sk15 base locks into the blower socket, so the lamp stays aligned and seated, even when vibration is part of the day.
