Stop Overpaying for Your Krones Contiform Lamps
Let’s be honest: OEM parts are expensive. When you’re running Krones Contiform lines, those costs add up fast. We decided to fix that by making infrared lamps that do the exact same job as the factory originals, but without the eye-watering price tag. You get the same thermal profile for your PET preforms, just for a lot less money.
Getting the Heat Right
Blow molding is all about speed and intensity. You need that preform to hit its glass transition temperature in a heartbeat. That’s why we stick with short-wave infrared. It cuts through the PET wall way faster than medium-wave options, which means your preforms spend less time sitting in the oven. It’s efficient. Simple. One quick tip, though: if you’re pushing these lamps to their limit, keep an eye on your airflow. If the ventilation is off, those quartz tubes will overheat and burn out way sooner than they should.
The Nitty-Gritty on Quartz and Connectors
We use heavy-wall quartz glass because it can handle the stress of rapid heating and cooling without cracking. As for the fit? We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. They’re a perfect match for your existing sockets, so you can just plug them in and get back to work. No rewiring, no headaches. And if you’re working with colored preforms, we’ve got you covered with coated quartz. These coatings tweak the heat spectrum so you can get the core of the plastic hot without scorching the outside.
Less Stress, Lower Costs
Switching to our lamps is a straightforward way to shave some money off your operating budget. These are true drop-in replacements. You don’t have to mess with your PLC settings or re-tool the machine. We’re obsessive about the measurements. If a tube is off by even 2mm, it won’t sit right in the Krones rack. That’s how you end up with a broken tube or a nasty arc during install. We keep our tolerances tight so that doesn’t happen. It just fits.
