There is nothing worse than being in the middle of a peak run and having a blow molding line go dark because a lamp gave up. It’s a headache nobody needs. That’s why we build our infrared lamps to be simple, drop-in replacements for SMF and other big names. We aren’t trying to sell you some “universal” magic trick. We just make sure the physical and electrical specs match exactly what 95% of the industry is already using. The nitty-gritty stuff We keep it simple: voltage, wattage, and length. Most SMF-style setups use high-voltage circuits to keep that heat dense and consistent across the preform. We match the OEM ohms and wattage perfectly. Why? Because you don’t want to be dealing with blown fuses or plastic that isn’t heating up enough. Plus, we use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. You just plug them in. No modifying sockets, no cutting cables, no fuss. What’s actually inside We use heavy-wall quartz glass. It has to be tough to handle the thermal shock of cycling on and off all day. Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the tungsten from gunking up the glass, so the light stays clear and strong. For some PET jobs, we add a gold or specialized coating. This helps the heat hit the preform exactly where it needs to, which means you aren’t wasting power heating the air around the bottle. Real talk from the shop floor These lamps pack a punch. They ramp up fast and give you the kind of zone control that makes a difference in your final product. But here is the thing: the lamp is only half the battle. If your reflectors are pitted or covered in grime, it doesn’t matter how good the lamp is—you still won’t get the full output. You’ll end up with uneven heating and wonky bottle walls.
